My name is Janice Bochicchio and I have a BS in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Special Education & Reading. I began my career at the Windward School in White Plains, NY where I taught students with language-based learning disabilities in grades 1-5. I have also taught at the Windward Teacher Training Institute.
For many years, I was a teacher at Dows Lane Elementary school in Irvington NY. I worked as a reading specialist and first grade general education teacher in a multi-sensory classroom. I spent a year as a special education teacher at the Block Island School in Rhode Island, where I worked with students in grades K-6.
I am thrilled to be working at Hillside Elementary. I have taught first grade in an ICT classroom as a special education teacher and second grade in an ICT classroom as a general education teacher. Currently, I provide Response To Intervention (RTI) services as a reading specialist to students in grades K-4.
