  • The Lion King Roars onto the FMS Stage

  • FMS Service Club Students Spread the Joy of Reading

    The 6th Grade Service Club, and Ms. Frank, the club advisor and MS Social Worker, spent the afternoon reading to and visiting with first grade students at Cornel Academy in the Bronx. With the help of Dr. Mitlak, our students had the opportunity to learn about literacy.

  • Fifth Grader Wins Martin Luther King Jr. Art Award

    Fifth grader Anya Hart wins the Martin Luther King Jr. Art Award. Anya was awarded her certificate and prize at the town's annual Martin Luther King Jr. breakfast, which included local leaders. She spoke to the audience about her artwork and the inspiration. Congratulations Anya!

  • The FMS Geography Bee Results

    Congratulations to all the students who participated in the FMS Geography Bee. Liam Mulvihill, the champion of this year's Bee will be taking a multiple-choice test to see if he will move ahead to the New York State Finals taking place in Albany, NY.

  • The First FMS Math Olympiad

    Farragut Middle School is pleased to report back on a most successful Mathematics Olympiad. They had about 45 math enthusiasts in grades 5 and 6 participate in 30 minutes of challenging problem solving. Congratulations to Jacob, James, and Maria!

  • Ms. Perez Receives National Board Certification!

    We are pleased to announce that Ms. Jocelyn Perez, our FMS School Counselor, was awarded National Board Certification after years of hard work, reflection, assessments, and review.

  • Student Activity Committee Organizes Coat Drive

    SAC met to organize and sort the hats and gloves that our community so generously donated. We paired together about 65 sets of gloves and a hat or scarf and wrapped them in tissue paper.

  • FMS Smash Success, Once Upon an Island!

    Directed by Jon Riss, the sixth grade musical was a wonderful trip to an island with rich mythology, history, values, and beliefs. Sixth graders did a wonderful job singing and dancing to the entertaining musical selections. It was a smash success!

    During lunch and recess on Thursday, December 6, excited representatives from the FMS Student Clubs and organizations set up booths, passed out flyers, and presented demonstrations. Join a club in 2019!

  • Science Circus Comes to FMS

    The fifth grade team brought Liberty Science Center to Hastings-on-Hudson! Thanks to the hard work of Ms. Kavanagh, representatives came from the world famous science museum to share exciting demonstrations of matter, air pressure, and electricity.
