Welcome to the Department of Special Education Services, where we oversee services for students with disabilities ages 3-21. Our belief that inclusion is a philosophy of education guides our decision-making process and our delivery of services. Collaboration with all stakeholders ensures that our focus remains on providing services for students in the least restrictive setting.
Our highly qualified staff sets high standards for all of our students. Instruction is individualized, curriculum materials specialized, and the spectrum of services is broad so that we can individualize instruction based on student strengths. We provide a continuum of services that allow most students to access services within their classroom.
SEPTA, the Special Education Parent Teacher Association, works to support students, family, and staff as we partner on both educational and recreational initiatives. They provide parent education programming and serve to inform you of new regulations and district initiatives. Please contact us to share how your child is doing and what we can do to further meet the needs of your child.CHILD FIND(LSB)
