This is a half-year course required for high school graduation. We cover the following, with an emphasis on personal responsibility, sound decision making, and good research skills:

Diet, nutrition, sanitation, disease.
- Disease in Detail
Geography & demographics; viruses, bacteria, illnesses, deficiencies, hygiene, and allergies.
- Human Development
Conception, pregnancy, birth, development, parenthood, aging/geriatrics, healthcare & insurance, human sexuality, fitness.
- Diseases of Behavior
Substance abuse & addiction, STI’s, violence & aggression, eating disorders, sleep disorders, social services.
- Family Life & Community
Accident prevention and first aid, mental health, family structures, health careers, environmental health, and consumer health.
