Dear Farragut Middle School Community,
It is my pleasure to welcome everyone back and those who are joining us for the first time this year at Farragut Middle School. I am honored to write this letter of introduction as the newly appointed Assistant Principal of Farragut Middle School. As the school year dawns, it brings many possibilities of what we can accomplish together for continued growth and success.
As your Assistant Principal, my philosophy is grounded in communication, collaboration, and character. Communication is a crucial skill that requires us to listen carefully, share wisely, and be aware of our intent and impact. I thrive on open, honest, and respectful dialogue. Collaboration is a social interaction where we as a school community work together towards common goals. Relationship building, knowledge, and skills are the pillars that support my philosophy in collaboration. Finally, character is that which defines us and the way we carry ourselves. I value integrity and ethics in my leadership style and as an individual. As an administrator, I am committed to being our students' cheerleader, advocate, and a part of their support system.
Before joining Farragut Middle School, I spent the last four years as an administrator in a middle school and five years as a high school science teacher in the Bronx. However, my career started in Guyana, a small country off the coast of South America where I was born. It was there that I found my passion for teaching and a defining moment where my commitment towards positive social change started. I am passionate and dedicated in ensuring that our students are supported to academically and socially-emotionally strive in a positive school environment at Farragut Middle School.
I am looking forward to meeting you in person and supporting you for the upcoming school year and beyond. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
