• Science Research is a two year course in which students enroll for their junior and senior years of high school. This course prepares students to take part in an authentic science research experience during the summer between junior and senior years.
     
    During junior year, students read peer reviewed journal articles in a topic of interest, work on presentation and writing skills, are introduced to basic statistics and locate a mentor for their summer internship.
     
    During their senior year, students complete a full length research paper to present the findings of their summer work. Students also prepare for numerous competitions including the Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS), Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS), and the Westchester Science and Engineering Fair (WESEF) which leads to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).
