Annual Organizational Meeting and Regular Meeting 

Monday, July 14, 2025 at 12:00 PM
 

This is a Public Notice that the Hastings-on-Hudson Board of Education Annual Organizational Meeting will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, in the Lecture Room of the Farragut Complex beginning at 12:00 PM followed by the Regular Board of Education Meeting.  Catherine DiMartino, Trustee, will be attending via videoconference from 224 Eugenio Sue, Mexico City.  The public has the right to attend the meeting at any of these locations.

It is expected that before the Annual Organizational Meeting at 11:00 AM a motion will be made to move into Executive Session to discuss:

1. Collective bargaining negotiations with HAA; 
2. A personnel matter relating to the employment history of a particular person; 
3. A personnel matter relating to the appointment of a particular person to the position of FMS Interim Assistant Principal;
4. An exempt subject involving legal advice from the School District's Attorney, subject to attorney/client privilege.

Jodie Meyer, Board Vice President, will be attending from 615 Broadway, Hastings-on–Hudson, NY. David Barone, Trustee, will be attending via videoconference from 131 Livingston Street, Brooklyn, NY. Catherine DiMartino, Trustee, will be attending via videoconference from 21 Croton Avenue, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. Theresa McCaffrey, Trustee, will be attending via videoconference from 22 Perch Bay Road, Waccabuc, NY. Maureen Lennon-Santana, Trustee, will be attending via videoconference from 1465 Santa Victoria Road, Chula Vista, CA, and David Weinstein, Trustee, will be attending via videoconference from 19 Terrace Drive, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY.  The public has the right to attend the meeting at any of these locations.  

The Board is expected to make a motion to enter Executive Session to discuss: 1) The employment history of a particular person and 2) Collective Bargaining. The Board will reconvene the Public Meeting after the Executive Session.

This is a Public Notice that the Hastings-on-Hudson Board of Education Regular Meeting on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, will convene at 5:00 p.m. in the Hillside Multi-Purpose Room for the sole purpose of making a motion to enter into Executive Session to discuss a personnel matter, the employment history of a particular individual.

The Board will reconvene in public session at 6:00 p.m. in the Hillside Multi-Purpose Room.

There will be a public hearing on the District Wide Safety Plan prior to the start of the Regular Board of Education meeting. The hearing's purpose is to discuss the amendments to the District Wide Safety Plan to be considered for adoption by the Board of Education. At this meeting, the Board of Education will review and discuss the draft 2026–2027 School Calendar. The Board is scheduled to vote on the calendar at its next BOE meeting on December 16th.
