Israel-Hamas War Resources

Dear Hastings Families,

We are deeply affected by the Israel-Hamas war. Many of our Hastings students have, and will, encounter images and stories through social media platforms, television, and conversations with peers. Some may also have family in the area of the attacks. 

As the region navigates the tragedy of war, we will be sharing a series of resources to support discussions with your children. (These are shared as a follow up to Superintendent McKersie's letters on 10.10.23 and 10.12.23.)

Please find the first set of resources here, which focus on facilitating conversations about war and identifying traumatic responses in developmentally appropriate ways.  

Let us continue to support each other. Many innocent lives have been lost. Emotions are strong. Our unity and empathy as a community are crucial during this tragic time.
