My name is Christina Gagliardi and I am a science teacher in the middle and high school. I'm extremely excited to start this year off. I have a BS in Zoology and a MS in Adolescent Education (concentration biology) from SUNY Oswego. I have teaching experiences at the Oswego school district as well as the Syracuse city school district.
As a Hastings alumni, my love for science began in the classrooms I will be teaching in. I found my focus of science in ecology, conservation, and zoology during my undergraduate career at SUNY Oswego. During those years it was also when I realized how important science education is for our future. I can't say it better than Baba Dioum himself, "In the end, we will conserve only what we love, we will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we are taught." Teaching a subject I'm so passionate about is truly a privilege.
See everyone soon!
