The Board of Education has two primary forums in which to discuss district business—Board meetings and Committee meetings:
- Board meetings - Full Board twice-monthly usually on Monday evenings unless otherwise posted.
- Committee meetings - A subset of Board members focused on a specific topic such as finance, facilities, and policy among others.
- Scheduled at different intervals throughout the year.
- Schedules are on the district calendar.
The public is invited to attend both Committee and regular Board meetings. However, only Board meetings have an opportunity for public comment. Committee meetings are working sessions. Topics discussed will be brought to Board meetings. There is no opportunity for public comments at Committee meetings.
Community members may comment on or raise questions about committee work at our scheduled Board meetings. That way, the entire Board has the benefit of community engagement, and community comment is recorded in public session. If unable to attend Board of Education meetings, to share feedback of any kind, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org which is reviewed by the entire Board.
