    We rehearse during the elective block.
     
    On the night of a concert, please be on the risers in the High School Auditorium ready to warm-up at 5:55 PM. Concerts start at 7:00 PM. Concert dates are:
     
    Winter Concert - Tuesday, December 18, 2018
    Spring Concert - Thursday, May 9, 2019
    8th Grade Recognition Night - Friday, June 21, 2019

    Welcome to 7th/8th Grade Chorus! I am looking forward to a wonderful year of music making with all of you!

    Below is information on the grading breakdown and concert dates. Read it carefully and get in touch with me ASAP if you have any questions.

                                                                                                                                                               

    I will be looking at the following when weighing your grades:

    • Attitude: 50 %
    • Attendance and punctuality – please refer to the concert dates below and let me know if you have any scheduling conflicts with those dates.
    • Teamwork
    • Respect for the music, fellow students, and teacher

     

    • Rehearsal etiquette: 50 %
    • Focus – refraining from socializing, putting forth best effort
    • Electronics policy – please refer to FMS Code of Conduct

     

    IMPORTANT DATES:

     

    • Winter Concert – Tuesday, December 18thm 2018 - 6:00 PM Call, 7:00 PM Concert Start
    • Spring Concert – Thursday, May 16th, 2019 - 6:00 PM Call, 7:00 PM Concert Start
    • NYSSMA Solo Festival (not required, but everyone is encouraged to prepare a NYSSMA solo) – TBA
    • 8th Grade Recognition Night – Friday, June 14th, 2019 - 6:00 PM Call, 7:00 PM Start
