Personal Product Fundraiser
Our SAC group just concluded our Personal Product fundraiser. We were able to pack up 20 sling bags that were donated, along with a whole bunch of shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, and other miscellaneous items such as lotion and sunscreen. They really loved participating in this fundraiser!

Sixth and Eighth Graders Bound off to Boundless Adventures!
Mr. Riss and Ms. Richman planned exciting trips for their sixth and eighth grade teams. Students took risks and sought adventures in the treetops of Boundless Adventures in Purchase, New York. Students learned about the importance of responsible decision-making and collaboration in a series of activities that promoted physical and social emotional wellness.

Eighth Grade Recognition Night
Farragut Middle School recognized their eighth graders moving up to the high school on Friday, June 21, with an evening of music, encouraging words, and awards. Mr. Adamo, team coordinator, hosted the evening.

Student's Original Music Recognized by Author!
A set of original compositions by Jasper "Jazzy" Zimmerman inspired by Pam Muñoz Ryan's novel Becoming Naomi León received quite the compliment from the author. Ms. Muñoz Ryan shared how much she enjoyed Jasper's work, identifying Las Posadas as one of her favorite pieces.

Hastings on Hudson School District launches MULTICULTURAL BOOK FESTIVAL!
In conjunction with the now three-year-old Multicultural Book Fair held in the high school’s Lloyd Library, THE FESTIVAL, led by co-chairs Jenice Mateo-Toledo and Marie-Louise Miller, celebrates diversity and inclusion through a day packed with visiting authors & illustrators, music, high school student ambassadors, crafts, food, and, of course, books!

Invention Dimension
Having completed their studies of a historical invention, students created an interactive exhibit for fifth graders. Sixth graders spent weeks learning about the research process and ancient contributions to society.

Latin Dance 2019
Fifth grade students impressed families, friends, and classmates alike with their dances from different Latin regions! Prior to taking the stage, students had studied the origins of the different dances and the culture of different countries.

A Visit From Mayor Armacost
Fifth graders were excited to have a visit from Mayor Armcost who answered a variety of questions running the gamut from climate change to favorite Hastings-on-Hudson pizza restaurant. Special thank you to Ms. Claudia Heitler who through her Current Events program helped to make bring this special opportunity to our school!
