INSTRUCTIONS FOR VOTING WITH AN ABSENTEE BALLOT
There are several steps one must take to vote with an Absentee Ballot:
1. An application for an Absentee Ballot must be filled out and returned to theDistrict Clerk's Office.
2. The District Clerk will mail an Absentee Ballot packet to the applicant. The packetcontains instructions for filling out and returning the Ballot.
3. The applicant will mail the Absentee Ballot back to the District Clerk.
4. Absentee Ballots will be kept unopened, in a locked cabinet until voting day.
The application for an Absentee Ballot must be received at least 7 days prior to voting day. The Hastings-On-Hudson UFSD Capital Bond Referendum vote will take place on Thursday, February 28, 2019. If the completed application is mailed to the District Clerk, it must be received by Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 11 a.m. This will allow ample time for an Absentee Ballot packet to be mailed back to the applicant.
If the application is hand-delivered to the District Clerk: A completed application may be returned to the District Clerk on the last day before the Hastings-On-Hudson UFSD Bond Referendum Vote, which would be Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. Upon delivering the completed application, the applicant may take, fill-out and return the Absentee Ballot to the District Clerk on the same day.**
NOTE: if the District Clerk is not available, an alternative pick-up and drop off for Absentee Ballots will be located in the Central Office.
