Each year, from September 15 to October 15, we observe National Hispanic/Latine Heritage Month to recognize and celebrate the many contributions, diverse cultures, and extensive histories of the American Latino community. 

September 15 is a significant date because it marks the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries.
