March Madness Comes to an End at Hillside

After starting with 16 books, Hillside's March Madness Book Bracket finally has a winner! When the school transitioned reading and voting to distance learning they were down to the Final Four - Truman by Jean Reidy vs. A Place for Pluto by Stef Wade, and It's NOT Hansel and Gretel by Josh Funk vs. Linus the Little Yellow Pencil

After over 300 votes, the championship pitted fractured fairy tale It's NOT Hansel and Gretel vs. narrative nonfiction A Place For Pluto. The winner was announced last week with a special message from the book´s author. By overwhelming majority, Hillside students' 2020 March Madness Champion is - It's NOT Hansel and Gretel by Josh Funk.
