Hillsiders Explore Latinx Dance & Culture

On Friday, September 30, Hillside students attended a special performance from Ballet Hispánico, the largest Latinx cultural dance organization in the United States.

Ballet Hispánico's brings communities together to celebrate and explore Latinx cultures through innovative dance productions, transformative dance, and community engagement.

As part of the dance company's "Performances for Young People" program, Hillside students were taken on an interactive journey through Latinx dance and culture. Excerpts from the Ballet Hispánico repertoire were narrated by their artistic leadership and included Dance Creole, Bury Me Standing, Con Brazos Abiertos, and Batucada Fantaistica.
