On Thursday, November 10, Hillside kindergartners in Nina D'Amato's class participated in a Season of Giving event by preparing care packages for our troops overseas.

The care packages, which included hand-made cards, cough drops, hand warmers, tic-tacs, gum, hand sanitizer, snacks, and other items, were delivered to D'Amato, who gave them to a family affiliated with West Point. West Point graduates currently in a battalion in Poland will receive the packages.

"Last year over 8,000 packages were delivered and we cannot wait to hear how many are delivered this year!" said D'Amato.
