On Saturday, April 27, the winners of the Farragut Middle School Science Fair competed at the Tri County Science Fair held at White Plains High School. The two teams that competed for Hastings were Jacob Goldman – Wetzler and Owen Linder as well as Amanda Scholz and Beatrice Herbstman.
Amanda and Beatrice placed first in the category of Middle School Psychology with their project titled, “How Does Age Affect Your Perception of Stereotypes?” In addition, Amanda and Beatrice won the “Judge Edith Miller Excellence in Education Award for Top Middle School Award” as the top middle school project of the fair. Because they placed in the top 10% of the fair, Amanda and Bee can apply to the Broadcom Masters competition, which is the nation’s premier science and engineering competition for middle school students.
