8th Grade Art
8th Grade Art meets for 1 quarter of the school year (10 weeks) following the Farragut Middle School block schedule, 80 minute periods every other day. This year the 8th Grade Art class will be participating in the Learner Active Technology infused Classroom model. Students in this grade will be working on Authentic Learner Units, becoming the navigators of the course of learning during the quarter. Some themes that will be explored include The Modern Art Movement, Utilitarian Art, Visual Rhythm, Collage Techniques, Abstract Art, Composition, Digital Photography, Observational Drawing, Charcoal techniques, Balance, Variety, Emphasis, Clay Techniques, Firing Glaze, Scale, and Found Object.
